When I was an apprentice at the BBC I was taught the art and craft of telling stories using sound.

At the BBC those stories should always have a point to them - that came from Lord Reith - and is true in all my work, whether it is a sound effect bringing focus to a scene in a film or a museum curator communicating with the public through an object or a painting.

We
have made over 270 radio programmes for BBC Radio 1,2,3,4,7 and World Service. We make people's voices sound good and structure what they say to be understandable and entertaining.

We can also manipulate sound in unexpected ways using software tools.

We tend to draw upon Scottish talent, notably actors, writers, composers and musicians.
